If any of you would like to build your own version of the OLF guitar, the mold is available for your use. I think it is currently on it's way from Matt's or Don's shop to Paul Woolson's shop. The plans for this guitar are on the foruma and there are still a couple of fulls size sets out there somewhere, however they may still be in use since the guitar is not finished yet.

This is a great little guitar that is somewhere between a parlor and a 00 size. Call it a 0&1/2. Just right for picking in your easy chair. I'm gonna be building a cutaway version soon with a set of BobC Cocobolo and a redwood top. It's designed as a 12 fretter with a 24.75" scale but the oine we are building as a group has a 24.9" scale so it could be adapted for anything close to that. I think this would be a nice addition to the OLF Plans Library. (Micheal P are you listening?) I think Matt said he might be interested in building one so get your name in line for the mold if you want or make your own if your interested.

Sure... put my name in line for the mold. And I agree with you on the plans. This would be a great addition to the plans section.

I'll second adding the plans to the library. We might also check with John Hall and see if he could stock forms and molds for the plans that are carried in the OLF library.

John I absolutely love that curved puflung, binding and center seam intersection you do. I took your advise and got the guide bushing set. I have not had a chance to practice with it yet but will soon.MichaelP38376.5469560185

I couldn't figure out another way to do this (or maybe I was lazy) but I just drew these curves on the guitar and routed them freehand.

It's an interesting technique and a PITA because all of the binding/purfling has to go on at the same time since the side purflings have bent corners too, each binding has a common purfling with the others. It also requires double length purfling strips.John How38376.551875

Yea Im listing. I would be happy to do it. Put me on the list for the mold and if you got a set of the plans send them on. I do up cad plans for them and we will get them in the library

I wont be able to start that guitar for while, and will make up a mold when i get to it.
