After a long weekend in So. Cal. and a week of fine camping in the Cascades, finally some progress to report on my 2nd, a size 5 terz koa/Lutz.

End of May.

Mid-July

Today.

Today.

It's built very light, in consideration of the stiffness of such a small body. I cheated on the neck. It's a Martin reject from ebay. Next are rope purfling, Mad Rose binding, then headstock and fb inlays. Finish will be FP over Z-Poxy (no Z-poxy for the top), if my testing pans out. So good to be moving on this sweetheart again, and I'm off for two more weeks!

Neat Pat.

What's the scale leingth? That bridge plate seems really far back. Of course, I've never built a small size guitar so if my question is ignorant, please forgive me.

Very nice Pat! I want to try a little 12 fretter too, eventually...

Keep up the good work!

Thanks, guys!

The scale length is 21.4, tuned a third higher. I had my doubts too about the bridge position, this being my first 12-fret, but I measured a bunch of times and it came out the same. I looked at a Martin terz and that's where theirs is, so I think I got it right.burbank38964.4329166667

That's high quality, you can just SEE it. Beautiful guitar.
