[continuation of the "favorite guitar you've made so far thread"]

Steve - I've heard of Nacogdoches, but I haven't been there yet. I hear its a nice town, and an old one too. If it wasn't before, the Space Shuttle tragedy definitely put it on the map.

Anyhow - I've been considering coming out to one of the LINT meetings for quite some time. Finally though, it would be hard for me to find an excuse to miss the Richard Brune Master Class. Must one already be a member of LINT to attend? I'll email Bo Walker, but I figured I'd ask you here for the benefit of others.

Best wishes,

Hi Joshua,

Thanks for the reply. No, one does not have to be a member of LINT to participate. There is a "trial" period where one can attend a couple of meetings and see if the group is to their liking. (Before having to pay the rapacious membership dues.)

However, all the "Master Class" meetings have a registration fee that is a requirement to participate. But it's a bargain. This meeting--if indeed it can be pulled off--will be a coup. Don't miss it!

Steve where are the meetings and seminars?

Hi Stan--
Mettings, and seminars for that matter, move about from place to place. Whoever is feeling generous, or whoever's shop is clean will volunteer to host a meeting. I'm not sure yet where the Masterclass will be. But the upcoming meeting in February will be held at "Curlywoods", a lumber dealership specializing in--that's right--curly lumber. How much fun will that be?

Come on down, good buddy. And that goes for you too, MP. The meetings are usually a lot of fun, they're inspirational, and we always seem to learn something. Oh yes--and bring a sample of current work: there's always a "show and tell" section to the meetings.

Steve,

Good news. I'm not worried about paying a membership fee on top of the registration fee - I just want to make sure I can get a spot in that master class. Mr. Brune is the best historian of the Spanish Guitar this side of the Atlantic, and a well experienced maker. So it is a great opportunity for everyone. It'll be nice to meet you and the other LINT members as well.

Cheers,
Joshua

But I promise I will be there some time this spring. I have been keeping an eye on the site so I would know what is going on. Don't count me down. I will be there eventually.
