Okay. So last week’s removal of the compressor from our non-cooling smaller freezer wasn’t satisfactory. This had 2 wires. Only pulled 10”, then only 6.5”. My neighbor is throwing his mid size (10 cu ft) freezer away. Another opportunity!

So I pull his compressor out. It has 4 wires. There are two black that both went to a plug that had 2 spades on the bottom of the freezer. I figure that the blacks get wired together.

Then, a white and a blue wire. The blue and white went to the thermostat. BUT, before I wired anything together, I check them with my multi tester for continuity. All the wire combinations seem to have continuity. Go figure.

Without posting a picture, how do I wire this to see if it will pull enough vacuum?

TIA

I'm an electrician, and the color codes appear to be specific to the equipment. If I had the whole thing in front of me, i could figure it out in about 2 minutes, but rather than tell you wrong, let me suggest going to the local appliance repair shop. They could probably tell you from memory.
