I am putting together a kit for John Creech, one of my past customers and future luthier to be!

John wanted a walnut dread so I picked him out a nice vintage set of walnut that I got from Brian at Beach Tonewoods, Brian informed me that this stuff has been air drying since 1969! This stuff is so dry it feels ultra light!

Pretty too!

That is really fine! I love walnut. 1969 was a good year too.

Beautiful wood. I'm sure it'll make a beautiful sounding guitar as well.

Nice stuff Lance .. got you beat though .. I am making an 8 string multiscale for a guy, air dried walnut, sliced into 3 inch flitch-cut slabs in Fergus Ontario, 1964. One of my students has a bunch of it, one slab is going into a tele for himself.
