Well, while the third body session dries, i thought i'd share a few pics of the second one, done on my own with maybe a phone call to my coach to verify if i was doing the right thing and he said Yeah!  Thanks Alain! the spiriting helped with the dry spots!

Hey Anthony, why were you so quiet lately, been traveling lots? JJ, i hear ya bro, i never thought FP was such an exercise, i hope i can still hold the CCF spoon tomorrow morning especially now that the 3rd is done!

Spiriting or stiffing are two process that I think the Milburn tutorial may glaze (pun intended) over a bit to quickly. Most tutorial I have ever seen talk about spiriting-off after every third session. My grandfather taught me to spirit-off after every session after the second or third session. His reason and I agree after all these years is that the spiriting off with a high solvent rate melts the ridges and helps maintain a level film as you build. by spiriting-off after every session I find I rarely have to do much leveling prior to glazing. Also the right stroke makes a big difference when spiriting off. Moderately firm in line with the grain and at a quick constant but not rushed speed is the key to leveling the film. Gliding on and gliding off means the difference between sticking at the start or end or starting and exiting with no marring of the film. It is kind of like buffing shoes with a horse hair buff or stropping a razor on a leather strop. |

Thanks Ron, Carlton and Michael! Michael, i spirited off the box after each the 2 first sessions, do i need to let it be after the 3rd session so the film stiffens a bit more? Here's how it looks after the 3 sessions with no spiriting done after the 3rd

NOOOOOOOOO!! spirit of after every session, after you have the first 2 boddy session on, this is more work up front but it will save you leveling time down the road. Read my tips on spiriting off in a post I just posted. |

re-read. I said, He said after you get 2-3 session on the guitar spirt off after every session. The first two or three session you do not want to spirit off jsut to get a film base built up. after that spirit off after every session. |

Is your bridge glued down. If so in the future I would suggest that you FP before you glue the bridge down. It is may times easier than trying to get in the corner joint formed by the bridge and top with out making a mess or getting build up there. |
