....to put a screen over the end of your shop vac hose if you're using it for dust control while cutting small pieces of MOP for inlays. And if you don't, it might be a good idea to not let your shop vac get too full. Otherwise, if a piece got sucked in, and it was really full, you might not ever ever find the little piece that took so long to cut and can't be duplicated because it was going to turn out to be the best piece you'd ever cut. But if you'd had a screen on the hose in the first place, that wouldn't matter. Just a thought.... |

Ah yes, I once tried to put a screen on the end of my pearl cutting suction unit. I used CA glue and got BOTH of my thumbs, BOTH of my index fingers, and BOTH of my middle fingers stuck to the little piece of screen. Fortunately Sarah was around to help. And I still don't have a screen on there either ![]() My advice would be to make sure your partner is around if you plan on trying it my way. ![]() Mike |

Been there too. I just use an old piece of a tee shirt held on by a rubber band. |

Yup, Brock, voice of experience! Roy, this is the second and last time. The screen went on today. Serge, I'm always eager to share! Mike, I've been there, too. Like when I had spilled some CA and didn't know it. Stuck my hand down real good, and I didn't have any solvent. Judicious use of a razor blade worked pretty good, didn't lose TOO much skin! |

Pat, that doesn't sound like much fun. I'm glad I had some solvent at least! Mike |
