Just thought I’d post some post some photos of my latest TAS outbreak. Nothing like your local Craig’s List to encourage frequent outbreaks of TAS. First is my new Rockwell 1 x 42 sander / grinder equipped with the Frank Ford inspired thickness sander plate. Next, I scored an old Rockwell wood / metal cutting band saw. You pull a lever out on the back to change cutting speeds. It's a saw with a transmission. I have to order a few replacement parts to get the wood cutting speed but she's slicing metal like a champ. Enjoy! Louis |

having the capability to slow the saw down for cutting metal and plastic is very usefull. my old walker-turner uses four sheave speeds and a 2 speed gearbox to give 8 cutting speeds. took me awhile to learn to appreciate how changing the speed can make life easier. but it was well worth it when i finally took the time to experiment. |

Great score Louis. Isn't Craig's List wonderful?! Its like a garage sale that never closes. It was through a Craig's List ad that I scored my stationary belt sander for $20 AND walked away with some old Honduran qtr sawn mahogany for the price of pine. It was way cool. You just never know what you are going to find out there. |

Thanks guys. I love Craig’s list, I found both of these tools by placing a wanted add in my local tools listing and within a day I numerous offers in my inbox. I love that little sander; the thickness plate attachment has come in handy a number of times over the last week. Louis |
