I was going to wait until I could post pics of the wood with the body
shape traced on, but I just can't. With the very gracious help of Bob C.
and John Mayes, some very nice wood is on it's way. It's soon to be a
flamed mahogany SJ with tortoise shell bindings, and most likely some
light - just a hint of - red-brown shading on the italian spruce top.

I'll post pics of the mahogany and shape* in the mean time

*honestly, it's a 16" version of Traugott's R. James Orr38993.6178356481

Say James...
You could not get any better advice than from those 2 Brothers. John Mayes is no amateur and will always give you great guidance.
You will get a great guitar when it's all finished.
BobC always has the best wood and advice.

You will be really happy with the Tortoise binding...a classic.

Best of luck!!
