I was going to wait until I could post pics of the wood with the body shape traced on, but I just can't. With the very gracious help of Bob C. and John Mayes, some very nice wood is on it's way. It's soon to be a flamed mahogany SJ with tortoise shell bindings, and most likely some light - just a hint of - red-brown shading on the italian spruce top. I'll post pics of the mahogany and shape* in the mean time ![]() ![]() ![]() *honestly, it's a 16" version of Traugott's R. |

Say James... You could not get any better advice than from those 2 Brothers. John Mayes is no amateur and will always give you great guidance. You will get a great guitar when it's all finished. BobC always has the best wood and advice. You will be really happy with the Tortoise binding...a classic. Best of luck!! walter |
