I bent some honduras rosewood sides yesterday, They came out of the bender with purple sap spots all over the wood. Is there an easy way to remove the spots other than sanding? Is there a way to prevent them from occuring next time I bend HR? Thanks.

Thanks guys. So I gather this is a typical problem HR? I'll start sanding and scraping tonight.

I really like the ringing tap tone of HR, not sure about the color.
