The feller who bought my latest zouk needs a pickup & I'm looking for some help in getting something which will work well for him.
The standard USTs are too long for the saddle slot, so we're considering one of the bridge plate pickups.
(Oh yeah... I guess I should mention this is a "flat top" with a glued on bridge.)
My customer would prefer an active system with a pre-amp, but we're open to all suggestions.
Thanks in advance... Dan

I like the K&K Sound myself. I recently installed the Ultra Pure Mini on my son's guitar and it works great.

I second the K&K vote. It's passive but you'll find the signal hot enough to go directly into any board.

Is it the "K&K "Twin Spot" that you are suggesting?

Hey Dan,

I too distribute K&K and have installed them in a customer's guitar and he loves it! They have a wide range for all kinds of acoustic instruments. This is the pick-up I will be installing on the Mandolas I plan to make and would work well for your zouk as well. They also make pick-ups that mount on the outer surface of the soundboard if you think it will be had to get inside to install. Oh ya, and here is the pre-amp that would be used.

Let me know if I can help you out!
