I just got off the phone with Edward Dick, the local repair and guitar building expert. I had sent him one of my centerline finder jigs to evaluate since I know he could use it on a daily basis and give good feedback. He called me today to thank me for making such a nice jig. He said it worked flawlessly, and he could use this jig everyday! I think my head is swelling. What a great compliment to come from a great guy.

Edward teaches guitar building also, and builds all kinds of instruments. I've been to his shop many times, and everytime I'm there, I'm so inspired by all of the different instruments he has built and repaired.

He also gave me a great tip on the CenterLine Scriber. He says you can use it to mark the centerline on your tapered fretboards. You just need to twist it and draw a line, then twist it in the opposite direction and draw a line. You will now have 2 lines drawn on your fretboard. The centerline is the middle of these 2 lines. Great information for anyone who wants to use this to draw their centerline's on their fretboards.

Here is more information about Edward:

Enjoy!

Tracy funny I did that just the other night to center a fretboard on a neck blank! I checked it with calipers and it was pretty much dead on!

I haven't had a chance to use mine yet but will be gluing two tops to necks on flamenco guitars, hopefully in the next two weeks    I can't wait to try it out.

My original order was a no-show through the mail. I notified Tracy and he
rushed a replacement out to me. It showed up yesterday. Sooner than I had
anticipated.

Great jig and great customer service! Well done Tracy!!!
