Anyone here build a wooden guitar stand, similar to Taylor? Likes, dislikes? Pix, plans?

I'm borrowing a customer's. I'm used to having mine hang up on the wall, or a floor stand with something holding the neck (That makes me feel more secure...)

I built a bunch of the Taylor stands for Healdsburg last year. They're ok, nothing to write home about. Hard to get them to sit perfectly level.

I've got a couple of the first one you show. I quite like them as they are stable and nicely display the guitar as the stand is well hidden. They are great for home use but wouldn't use them for use on stage.

Check out these stands. It is a very functional design. What you don't see is a felt pad on the lower part that the back of the guitar rests on. The stand holds the guitar by the neck and has a wide enough base that it does not tip over easy. SteveS39003.5341898148
