oh Todd....ouch, ouch, ouch. Hope your daughter ges well quick. Too bad you can't just put on triple antibiotic creme on the guitar. Did I say "ouch?" I feel for you. That' so frustrating. |

Well, first let me say that I hope your daughter gets well quickly. I've had bronchitis roughly 100 times, and it's no fun at all. Sorry to hear about the guitar. I've done the very same thing. Worked tired, took off some clamps when I wasn't thinking straight, only to have disaster strike when I wasn't expecting it. Ouch... |

Sorry to hear about your mishap, Todd. But maybe years from now, this will be a fondly recalled story that will follow your nephew's guitar through the years. |

Todd... That's brutal! I'm glad your daughter is feeling better... The guitar, that can be fixed or replaced or whatever... I've always pushed myself too when that little voice tells me to stop... I should learn to listen to it more often... But do I? Best wishes, Al |
Thanks, guys. With all that hearing loss from turbines, I guess my little voice needs a higher volume setting!
![]() ![]() ![]() I just wish mine would speak english or french and not some weird language I can't understand like german! ![]() |

Todd so glad your daughter is ok! Mishaps...they happen to all of us so there isn't anything stupid to fix. Good luck with the repairs! |

I feel your pain. Last semester, just after the neck was attached and prior to finishing, I set it up on its end on the table to take a look at it and took a few steps back. I had "that special feeling" that it might not be a good idea. I turned my back on it to grab a tool and "BAM!". It fell to the floor landing on its peghead. It nearly induced vomiting. It was absolutely an incredible stroke of luck that only 1 small dent on the peghead and one small ding on the binding was the only damage. I will never do that again. Must fight those urges to do something stupid at the end of the project. -j. |
