Just heard about a big quake in Hawaii, some buildings damaged, power out on the big island and Oahu. Anybody hear from Roy Ott? He's in Kailua-Kona. |

That's very scary...seismic activity centered on a chain of volcanic islands doesn't bode well...let's hope it was just a release of energy and not signs of things to come there. |

From what I read there's quite a bit of damage in the islands and extensive power outages. No one killed and few injuries. Still, I hope Roy and his family have all come through this ok. As of this morning power had been restored to about two thirds of the state. Give us an update when you can, Roy! |

Got a PM from him. They're OK and had only minor damgage. Power was out for a few days. |
