We've been gone for a wonderful week of vacationing.
While away, we visited with a fine luthier and got to visit his shop.

Here's a shot of said builder, holding up a recent instrument:

Some of you will know him right away, but just in case you need more help, try this:

Or this:

Good luck, and the usual prize is offered!

Thanks, Anthony, indeed we did! And part of the pleasure was visiting with our very own Bruce Dickey. A warm, caring man, with a well organized, but much-too-clean shop. (Sick, just sick...) He showed me about 12 guitars in various stages of construction, and I was drooling over his wood stash. He lives in some of God's pretty country, which we enjoyed tremendously.

It is a real treat meeting on-line friends, putting a face with a name, shaking a hand. From reading Bruce's posts, I felt as if I knew him, and it proved to be so. He's such a transparent fellow that I wasn't surprised at all when we got to meet face to face. He was just good ol' delightful Bruce. I knew just what to expect.

Many thanks, buddy, for your hospitality and courtesy.

Now, go make more sawdust!

Dave, one case of lard coming your way.
Here's the fellow in question:

He even dressed up for our visit! I was in my camping duds, and felt like I never got the memo on dress code.

By the way, Dave, we came home on the Talimena scenic drive. Eastern OK is also quite lovely!

Dave,

So just where IS Jones, OK?
I'd be delighted to stop by if we're ever up that way.
I've got some family in Edmond... Are you close to that?

Steve, I'm just a few miles from Edmond. In fact we just moved outta Edmond in February. It's getting a little crowded there. Jones is basicly straight east of OKC, about 9 miles off I-35.
