I wonder, is this asked of me?   I've got the D-TAR Mama Bear DSP acoustic guitar preamp on the market... If you're asking me, it's going great...

Ah, no Rick, this was aimed at Serge. I was wondering how the finishing on the guitar he made for his mother was going.
Sorry for the confusion, but glad to hear that things are going well for you.

La guitara de la Madre del Sergio esta gone to La Florida!

Sorry folks i had a lot of things going here in the last few weeks and days, Mom's guitar left here with Mom tuesday morning at 5h00 am and are headed to Florida, Pop is going along with them.

The finish, well, thankfully my camera died on me so you can't see all the mess i've done to it!

Thanks for asking Lillian

Serge, the Busy Bear!

I'll be able to see it in a few months when I go down that way.I can't wait for that trip! So,now what? Are you going to be working on the mandolin? Good luck and have fun with it bud!

Serge, we are our own worst critic. I'm sure it turned out fine, that Momma Bear loves it and it sounds beautiful. I bet you that you couldn't pry it out of her fingers for all the jewels in the world. Glad she headed south before the weather showed up. So, what are you working on now?

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Dave and Lillian, the guitar turned out OK , here are a few shots i took before the camera died on me. The back turned out really well, it's the top that i'm not happy with but heck, it was time to let it go!

Here's what the shop looked like before that dang camera let go! The power tools are now all on wheels but what's missing is a guitar station that is now in the middle, i'm doing the final clean up and should resume building both guitars and mandos this week end!

My air filter now hooked to the ceiling

Thanks for watching!

Bubba, (that's a term of endearment in the South), I don't know what you are looking at, but from the one shot you have of the top, it looks great. I think I was right, you are your own worst critic!

I can only hope my first turns out that nice.

Bro....snap out of it!!! That guitar finish looks 1000% better than when I saw it in Ft. Erie.

Maybe you just miss having the guitar close to home.

Duuuuuuuuuuuudddddddddeeeee

There is nothing at all wrong with that finish. My second looked 10x's worse than that and I got paid for it (shame on me, it's coming back for a refinish soon)

Can't wait to see the shop rework pics Bro.

Lots of cords hangin' around there, no chance you can get another couple of outlets in there eh?

Edit:

Errr it sure sounds like I was calling your finish bad there Bro, when I said mine was 10x's worse . I hope you know what I'm fumbling with words here and getting worse every minute.

I think it looks great. (Get your foot out of your mouth True )

A couple of smilies goes a long way right Rod True39031.6959606481

Well, Only Dave will be able to see that guitar up close, Thank God!

Thanks folks, i really appreciate your unrelentless support (Does that sound right or is my English still improving? )

Thanks Lillian, this pic was taken before i messed up the top but hopefully, i'll be able to fix that up in 5 months from now!

Thanks Hesh! Yeah, i used to do this too but i prefer having it right over my bench, i need more space on the benches here!

Thanks JJ, To say the truth, yeah, i already miss it, i 've been caressing that baby for the last 9 months soo...

Thanks Rod, no, don't worry my friend, i understood what you meant in your first sentence but add 30 more smileys and i might forget about it! Unfortunately, this shop ain't mine, it belongs to the owner of the building so i can't really make any electrical additions since i do not pay for Hydro that i take, i'd feel really uncomfortable asking that permission to my boss.

Thanks also Ron, looking forward to see yours as well my good friend!

Right on bud! That does look fantastic....

I've seen that guitar in person and the photo's don't do it justice...

I can only imagine what it would look like all buffed out!

So now it's time to attack no.3!

Serge,

It's shining like a jewel! Just a spray can and elbow grease, huh? Very nice. Of course, I bet your mom thought it was beautiful the first time you handed it to her.

I've still got to tip my hat in your direction for making that guitar (only your second!) with distinctive design appointments that make it good-looking and unique. Well done.
