Peter, hon, that's not a wise thing to do, unless you are trying to kill it or like sleeping on the sofa. Maybe if you ask real nice, someone might stash a wet-vac under the tree for you or maybe a real dust collector, like the one I circled in red. Left the catalog in the bathroom. Thought it was a subtle enough hint.
