I have notice in Robbies DVD vs other sources, some use Meguiars 7 vs 9 What are the advantages of each and what are the differences??? |

Grit difference. I think I have this right #7 is a glaze and #9 is a Swirl remover I use to use #7 all the time. The funny thing is to me #9 seems finer to the touch than #7 but you would think a Swirl remover would be courser cut than a glazing compound ![]() |

Correct Michael 7 is the glaze and 9 is the swirl remover. I assume 9 has some grit to it for that purpose. So do you use 7 to buff to a high gloss by hand |

I havein the past and it work fine, but now use 3m Perfect-it get both bottels of the Mcguires and tell me if the #9 swirl remover does not feel finer than the #7 glaze this is backward to me |

Andy, From my experience, the Novus Plastic Polish #2 is the best for FP. Fernandez mentions using this in his video on FP'ing. Good luck! Tracy |

as far as liquids go, I use Meguiars 10 and 17 .. 10 is the finer of the two. Thats what LMI sold as fine and very fine a few years back - they simply stuck their label over the meguiars one ... i peeled it bakc to find out what it was, as its usually cheaper if I can find the same thing locally. Plus I dont have to wait for it to ship !!!! |
