I just got a call from KATV Daybreak staff, they want to do a story on guitar building in Arkansas. Someone grab my foot and pull me back to Earth would ya!

Haven't talked with them yet, you know, phone tag and all that, they're "It" at the moment.

Fantastic Bruce! I hope this works out for you. Get ready to get lots of new business! Let us know how this works out, I'm sure everyone would love see you succeed! It would probably be a good idea for other full time builders on the forum to contact their local tv station and ask them if they would be interested in doing a story on guitar building. Good luck!

Wowww!!! Good news Bruce. Hey, I am sure this means you will become the "luthier" in your area. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Are you prepared for the life of the famous luthier? Will you have time for your old friends back here at the forum? People beating their way to your door. E-mails from around the world! Wait a minute you are getting that right here at our nice forum. I wish you well in your interview and I hope it increases your business. God bless ya, and have a great day.

Good Luck Bruce!!!
Go for it!!
There's nothing like a little Press support.
This will bring out all the guitar "Bugs" of of the woodwork!
Hope it helps.

Pretty heady stuff, Bruce. Congrats!
The only downside I can see: how many guitarists watch tv at the break of day? (Unless they're just getting home from a gig )

Let us know how it turns out.

Steve

Bruce,

Too cool! And, much deserved. I am really hoping this happens for you. It would make me feel good to see you with a waiting list of about 50! (might make you feel stressed )

Go get 'um!

Jeff

Thats great Bruce. Now you just need to contact the station in Ft Smith and see if they might be interested. Then you'll have the whole state covered. Keep us posted on how it turns out and don't forget us. Don A38386.7216203704

My first call was to my Brother-in-law to get him to go with me and play the things......

My next calls were to friends who've got guitars I've built for them to borrow 'em back for a jiffy interview. One would require five hours drive to borrow it, and another five to take it back.....

Who knows it might have been a cruel joke.... but I can play you the recording!

Hey Bruce...

Great exposure for you Congrats...
WMUR TV in Manchester NH called me last sept. and did the same thing for me. Came up to the house and taped for 3.5 hours and showed it on TV in November. Was about 12 minutes.
I got a sale from it and also a few calls.

Gary

What I can't figure out is how they found out about me...

Well, I tried to stay off the phone this morning and sure enough, the Producer of the Saturday Daybreak show called. They do want me to come in to the studio and bring some guitar stuff for a live four minute interview.

What can you say in four minutes? Anyway, if they like me, maybe it'll be a shop visit someday? Thanks for all the kudos it's fun to even be considered.

I asked who sic'ed them on to me.... good question huh? It was an aide and bus driver I befriended at my old school. He's a good ol' boy, he even gave me a busted twelve string one time to fix up. I still have it. Thanks Terry!
