Well, unfortunately I don't remember what this wood is!! I got it a while back from Brad Goodman along with a couple of other sets and can't remember what it is... sapele? I don't know...
it as something writen on it "C SAP" ??

Hi Peter,
It is Sapele.
The "C SAP" stands for curly sapele.
It has a nice wavy grain and a lot of medulary "silk".

my guess is curly sapele. I am working with a set right now that is pretty much exactly like that.
