I'm eith going to build a Dred, MArtin spec, or may try the OLF SJ? I've been wanting to build a slope shoulder Gibson dred too, but not sure this is the right zoot for that? |

I would try a shallower guitar than a dread to take advantage of the resonamce of the Bocote... SJ or OM would be my choice. But either way you'll go it will make a beautifull guitar! |

I'm thinking tortoise shell bindings, and a nice euro top. Maybe even a set of Shane's Lutz spruce. |

OOH, good idea Don, I have a set of Martins tortoise binding--I'm anxious to try some of Shanes Lutz. |

Shane's Lutz as a top! Don't know why but i'm seeing maple bindings , ebony bindings would make it look superb!. |

Scott I think tortoise bindings will be ideal, they just seem the perfect match. Cheers Kim |

Serge, I ordered 2 lutz topd from Shane last night--I've heard so many great things I had to try it--I also got some curly maple b/w/b bindings. I'll see how they match, but I am leaning towards the ebony. What a tough choice! |
