Because it's made of wood! Check it out the legnatile (I don't know what the name means, that's just what this guy decided to call it).

This is a very cool concept. He had some neat ideas when putting it together, but, I'm sure some members of this forum could execute the design a bit nicer.

I'd like to see a luthier's version of something like this. For sure, no deck screws or funky looking veneers. But I reckon it would have binding and properly mitred purfling. Oh, and decent looking woods as well.

You know, considering the insane amount of cell phone accessories out
there, I'm surprised that I've not yet seen a wooden cell phone body kit out
there.
