Hey gang, I just ran across this article via Make Magazine's blog: Electrolytic Etching of Brass I think that making little business card sized plates for branding and identification would look very nice if done properly. I'm not sure how it would affect sound if you put it where a paper slip would normally go. Anyway, it looks like it could be a fun, stylish addition worth playing with, and not terribly difficult. |

Put it on your case. I do this with each commission I send out. Not electroetch but engraved brass plates stating: "One of a Kind, Hand-Crafted guitar Built excusivly for client name" I would worry a brass plate glued to the inside of a guitar would just ad weight and eventually come unglued |

I do the same. Brass plates with the name of the owner on it for the case. I like this technique though. |
