| Post subject: | Calling all guitar builders. |
A friend's wife plays guitar and he would like to have a guitar custom made for her as a surprise. He knows nothing about guitars and asked me if I knew anyone who might be interested in making her a guitar. I make fiddles and wouldn't want to try a guitar. Anyone interested? |

I live in Michigan. Pal lives in northern Ohio. So I posted it in two locations on the forum. I am getting all of the respondent's info to pass along to him. |

Something to tell your friend. Expect most experienced builders to have some sort of back log. Plus the normal build time. Expect 3-5 months for a short turn around on a custom build and a year or more is not unusual. That is why the first time I replied to the other post I said time till birth day can be critical. Now if buying from out of a builder’s standard product line, you may fine a suitable instrument already built. |
