I call it ,.."The Lil 'Miss Bri Model Crossover Guitar"
Several months ago ,.I had a few Dobro players ask me if I'd every thought about building an Acoustic slide guitar . I went to work and this is what I came up with . I used 100 plus yr old walnut and a red spruce top that was salvaged from beams out of an old mill , on the east coast . I braced the guitar with the same redspruce . Brazilian Rosewood bridge ,and the same koa ,bloodwood binding scheme as the Brazilian Dobro . i did usr an x brace ,..left my top heavy at .130, 1/4 "bridge plate and a couple other structural percautions . I will say ,..that ole redspruce is like iron . Think I will fill the grain and put a high gloss oil polish on it .
It will be set up like a dobro ,..but I went with a round neck ,..so it would also appeal to bottle slide players . I should be completed in a couple weeks .
