Hi all.

A customer brought a Honer resonator for a general setup. there was also a piezo in it that didn't work anymore. It looked like a standard piezo placed under the saddle, not the biscuit type piezo for resonator. According to my customer, it had a resonator type sound when plugged in a amp, so it must have been a special type of piezo (I assume...).

Does anyone know what brand of piezo it might be? Or any other brand that would supply such a piezo?

Thanks!

The ones I've seen in cheap Chinese resos haven't been anything special - just a standard undersaddle that you can get from Belcat, although the Artec undersaddle transducers would work just as well.

The downside is that they only work with Chinese spiders where the screw is set below the nut slot. Also they are commonly used with a one-piece bridge saddle so that you can't adjust the tension screw with the strings in place (which is when it should be done). If your customer thinks they sound like a reso then I'd blame his ears!
