That's a very clean and functional design. Gotta love those magnets. The clear polycarbonate looks like it will allow viewing the cutter while working also. Looks like an easy mod would be to turn the top plate 180 and bring the hose down behind the spindle if desired. Nice work! |

Have you used the one with the plastic flaps yet? I ask because it looks like they're so flexible that they'd get sucked into the port. There's a guy who's selling a very similar product. He uses two layers of bristles near the vacuum port with the inner layer shorter than the outer layer to keep the bristles from getting sucked in. You probably already know this but I'll say it just in case you don't - do not wear gloves when working with power tools! Very dangerous practice. |

Well all I can say is brillant! Love the magnets. I have built, installed, used and destroyed two different designs of dust hoods and now I have hope I might be able to make these work! Thank you for posting this. Mike |
