Please excuse the post, as it has nothing to do with guitars, but I thought some of you might find this interesting...

I just cut a new QuadCopter frame on my cnc machine, out of g10, or garolite. I used a 1/16 inch mill, and I was really impressed with the results (designed in Solidworks, offcourse).

You can watch the video below to see how it flies, and also, look at the night flight stunts at the end. Controller is an arduino board, with another board that has about 10 sensors on it, like accelerometers, gyros, compass, GPS, barometer, and a sonar sensor for altitude hold...basically, this thing can be considered a "drone" since it does have autonomous way point capabilities, which will be the next set of tests....

Very cool.
Fit with a camera and you'll have a lot of fun!

Thanks Guys...

I am using 2217's/1050KV from Hobbyking....they are swinging relatively large props at 12x3.8 (two tractors and two pushers...).

I get about 7 minute flights on a 3000mAh lipo.....not doing any aggressive maneuvers obviously...

I think I can easily lift a small SLR, and I am in the process of creating a camera mount/pod that will fit under the quad for that purpose...again, garolite....

The board also has the ability to integrate camera stabilization servo's, so we will also see how that goes....need to get a bit more comfortable with flying it first, and ring out all the kinks....

Very cool. I was wondering whether you were using counter rotation or not, you answered that with the use of the pusher props. :)
Neat project.

That's way too cool.
