Do spline curves drawn in Rhino get converted to arcs or line segments when imported into VisualMill? I'd prefer arcs but can't seem to get anything but line segments. |

The arc filter is usually in the post-processor of your CAD system, so they'll be converted to arcs between toolpathing and G-code generation. The trick is just to make sure your tolerances are such that you don't lose data between conversion from spline to segments and then back to arcs. |

Under the "Advanced" tab of most of the machining operations is a "fit arcs to toolpaths" setting or something like that. I've not used it but apparently that will do what you're after I think. |
