This fingerboard was done completely on my CNC. It's my first significant CNC project (not including jigs, etc.). CNC did the profile, radius, fret slotting, and inlay. I learned a lot from it. On to the next thing! Thanks to everyone for the advice along the way. Attachment: fretboard.jpg

Thanks, Chris. I'm building this one for my son, and "pinstriping" was the word he used to describe what he wanted. |

Thanks, everyone! This was a challenge in many ways. The biggest being that the lines are only .015" thick. But after a few broken bits and a fair amount of scrapped shell pieces, I was able to get it all in. CNC is awesome. |
