Anybody using low runout ER collets like these Techniks for fret slotting or inlay ?

I've seen other expensive alternatives with a bizarre looking holder. The Techniks need a special nut and wrench but the cost isn't that bad.

I use them. Great collet for the money. No problems with fret slotting. Very accurate.

Those look pretty cool. Where are you buying them?

Western Tool, westtool.com is my local distributor although these are likely a drop ship item. There must be a local distributor in your area, you might try calling Techniks to ask.

The TIR spec is the same on these as their regular collets but a very different animal. If I'm going to buy a few new ones, I'd rather buy something with better specs. Not sure if they are improved enough to replace something that isn't worn out yet.
