I just received this in my e-mail if anyone is looking for a 3D cad package.
70% off tomorrow.

I don't use it myself, mostly I thought others might be interested as there's always talks of low cost CAD packages.

Fusion 360 is free for hobbyists and small business use I believe. They even give you a FEA package...it can't do orthotropic materials like wood, but it could be used to approximate deflections, etc.

I'm on the free for start up and small business package and it's by far the best program out there for capabilities. Especially with built in CAM. Fully parametric, and cloud saved files. Can't tell you how many times that has come in handy when initially I thought it was just a bit of hype.

And if you work on a Mac like I do, it's pretty much the only option out there for a complete package.
