i was on the silverfishlongboarding forums and came across a very interesting idea. they guy was thinking of taking his broken blender and turning it into a drum sander. just something crude and simple. here is a link to the original post http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/f ... 1298682042

thinking of building one, if i find a blender at a garage sale this summer :D

Even at it's slowest speed I think a blender would be about 5X too fast, have no torque and probably nowhere near a durable enough bearing.
A buddy bought one of those Home Depot ROSS sanders the other day off Craigslist for $50.

Must be quite a blender!

I've never seen a blender that is powerful enough and I'll bet you haven't either.

Plus they're way, way, way too fast.

What's the word for the opposite of 'genius'?

well it was for skateboard building. but still might work out for doing some rough sanding of a guit body
