I have customer that has purchased an electric Les Paul kit and the seam started lifting as the finish was being applied. The top is a thin veneer with a polyester sealer applied to it. The place to be repaired is between the bridge HB and the tailpiece. It is just raising up there. How do I go about laying this seam back down. I thought about applying heat and then rolling it. But the guitar does have most of the final finishing complete. Any suggestions? The person that is doing this kit is using Krylon for the finish ( I know not my choice) I referred him to stewmac for the finish supplies but as the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink" LOL Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks, Shawn

How was the veneer stuck on originally? (ie what adhesive).
Hide and PVC are the two main ones that I know are responsive to heat and re-pressing.
But with the finish on there....
Cheers
John

I meant PVA (white/yellow glue) not PVC.

Sorry 'bout that.
