I've got 2 walnut planks 1" thick, 4" wide x 36" long, been under a bench for years, well seasoned and dry. I don't see anyone using walnut? I want to use it for my 2nd build, is there any feedback on using walnut??
Any info appreciated!

I've built two out of walnut. It's a great wood to work with.
Edit: I missed the classical part, mine were steel strings.

No problem for classicals or steel strings. It's a great wood for necks. If you're selling, walnut might put some people off; it's just not on the "approved list" of neck woods. Functionally it's just fine.

Thanks Pat, I didn't get any replies on DCamp, this will work okay for my second build.

I'm sure these Black Walnut boards will work just fine, they were from my cabinet shop so I know they are well seasoned!!

Hello, it's a great wood, don't worry, it's classic work

I made the neck, it looks good and very straight, should work just fine!
