ello. i am new here :D i cam accross this site by accident when i was look at parts for my new build.

anyway i do have a few questions. I am working on a brand new lp styled guitar. the body of the guitar wont look exactly like an lp it will look similar to the design from myka guitars. i have been debating weather i should put some binding on the guitar or not. i am gonna paint the guitar with wine and will have different colour for top and bottom, but is it really necessary to put some binding. personally i think it would look without binding, but it will also look great with binding. plus i don;t think the binding is gonna affect the sound anyway. what do you guys think.

also i am looking for templates so i can space the holes for my ebony tailpiece. i have an amazing design in mind, but since its my first tailpiece i have been looking for spacing for the stings.

I have electrics with and without bindings. I think the decision is a personal one and what you personally like! For me, personally, I like a binding or purfling to break up the joint where two different colors are used on a guitar.
