Hello, i am working on my first guitar, it has come along very well and the parts for the body turned up recently, im slightly unsure about the humbuckers however, I have bought 2 of these: http://luthierssupplies.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=141_45_318&products_id=1055 ...
Now, are these particular pick-ups designed to sit back to back and have four in the body?

Also, im unsure about mounting it, do i screw it to the face out router a whole and screw it, and how am i supposed to cover the screws, pick board?

Finally, with the packaging i got a screw and a spring that is smaller at one end than the other, how do these go together, does the spring go under the pick-up or between the screw head and the pick-up?

I am aware that these may appear as stupid question, yes i have looked at the Gotoh website, Google and even YouTube, and haven't found much in the way of help, any help is MUCHLY appreciated.
Cheers,
David

David, the pickup shown in your link is not a humbucker. It is a single coil pickup.

The springs would normally go between the pick guard and the pick up with the screw through the centre of the spring. This allows you to adjust the height of the pick up under the strings.

That's a tele neck pickup, and they are commonly mounted directly to the wood (vintage style) or to the pickguard, as woodcutter says. Some of us feel that there the mounting methods gives a difference in tone from the pickup, especially if the wood is resonant, the pickup slightly microphonic.
