Does anyone have different ways of doing bindings other than buying binding router's or purfling scribes? Ways you have done it with what you already have?

I've done it with an adjustable edge guide/rabetting set before, but the router bit set is definitely the way to go. No question.

I've seen a guy do it with a chisel, but my druthers would definitely be the router.
