Thanks, Alan.
We got through the storm very well. We live in a trailer, and there are lots of trees around, so when the winds get really bad, everything on me tightens up, lol. I'm happy to say we suffered no damage, thank God, although we do have some cleanup.
As to the Faux Acoustic, I'm waiting until I can get the money to order a bridge pin reamer, along with a few other items. I hope to have it completed in a couple of weeks. I'll post pics and soundclips when I do.

And I've been wanting to do this for a while:

But it's gone a step further adding a scarf joint to the template with the headstock shape and tuner hole positions.

The neck shape and headstock will be routed first, then fretboard added, making sure not to forget to install the truss rod (reminders are nice) and then the shaped neck will be used to route the fretboard flush to itself.

What's up with the intonation?
Chris

I've had them end up looking like that before. I think it just varies with the strings but the low B being that far back isn't uncommon.

The flax is SWEET. That is my COLOR all the way. The back is weird, but the front, epic.

Very very nice job, excellent design.

Very nice Mr. Morelli!
The bird inlay work is really precise. I don't know how you can manipulate those tiny pieces of shell.
Top-notch work. Great website as well.

Tasmanian Blackwood. Also an Acacia(melanoxylon) This is my first experiment with plastic bindings.

I'm still pretty new at building, so every one is an adventure, and certainly no where near as close to the quality I see posted here.

Nice work Fillipo. Yours are always impeccable.

Well here's an electric uke I started many months ago which I hope to finish today or tomorrow (waiting for some tuners from Stew-mac). The body and neck are hog, and the top is claro walnut. Bridge, fretboard, and headstock veneer are all african blackwood.

Hey Nick, mind sharing your source for that fancy-doodle plastic pearl binding?
That stuff looks sweet!
Thanks,
