Well, this bass, and the picture of the electric - are what will hopefully consider as the last of the old school. From this point, no more excuses, no more hand cut "Ziegenfuss" inlays, and hopefully no more in-house finishes...I want to look more professional than I feel I can right now, so it is time to start farming some things out. Carey Nordstand and Roger Sadowsky, my bass building heroes are high examples to push for. And despite my pride, I am finally willing to admit that in the time available, I cannot perfect (or afford the proper tools for) all the operations required to delicately complete a high end guitar... However, I was pretty happy with the finish on this bass, and the beginning stages of the burst on the singlcut electric. The bass is made from a single walnut tree - with the body a nice slab from the trunk, and the neck from the bole...pretty nice stuff... |

MAN that piece of walnut came out nice! I love the asymmetrical coloring on the back! Beautiful bust on the 'lectric too! |
