Well, I finally finished up these two basses. These guys will be going with me to shows this year, but will be up for sale. The double cut is macacauba over mahogany, with coco accents. The singlecut is redwood over white walnut with madrose accents. Both have dual coil wood covered pickups with a full semi-parametric onboard preamp. They sound and play wonderfully and are probably my best efforts yet with my basses. Hope you enjoy! Stephen |

They look great Stephen. I especially like the redwood one. |

Top Notch, as always...! What are your plans, as a luthier? I'm just curious....looks like the sky is the limit for you...! Trev |

Both beautifully executed. The redwood is an incredibly beautful piece of wood, I'm just not a fan of the single cut basses. I'm sure many are, it's just my personal aesthetic preference. But both instruments that will make you or whoever buys them very proud. Very nice photography too. Darrin |

Very beautifully executed, and that headstock design is exquisite. Just looking at them makes me wish I played bass. Man, the larger one almost looks like some kind of weapon--it ought to be a real attention-getter! Sweet! |

Well Trev, My plans as a luthier are simple...To gain as much experience as possible in the next 1-2 years, strive to meet several goals I am setting up for myself, and see where I am. In about 3 years, my father will be ready to retire from a life in corporate hydraulic engineering. He just finished building a beatiful house in Northern PA on about 35 acres complete with about 1600 sq. ft of finished garage space that can very easily be situated into a shop. At that point, we have talked about doing a number of things together - concrete countertops, decorative interior concrete floors, guitar building, etc... but something together nonetheless. It would be a time to just sit back and focus on less of a fast pace of life. If we felt that I established enough as a builder at that point, we might explore what a little extra capital could do in the guitar business. In the meantime, I am working on a dealership network as a bass builder, and building acoustics essentially at cost to further my "education". Lance's help and input has been paramount. The fact that I started a job in MI right next to him has been one of those blessings that I repeatedly fall against. Stephen |

Very cool Stephen, it sounds like there are some good possibilities ahead of you! 1600 sq. ft. should make for a great starter shop! Your work is really inspiring, I've been thinking more and more about trying my hand with basses. Best, Trev |
