Very nice, David! Great job with the finish! Gorgeous! Mind sharing a few details on your finishing process? Did you mask bindings or just spray and scrape? How did you do your burst, hand or spray? I am just at that point with mine and am debating how best to approach it. Would appreciate whatever steps you could share. Also saw you ran your strings out the back of the tailpiece and over the top. Never seen that done before. Was this intentional or were you just testing us? Ken |

Thats for sharing your build pics. I'm ready to start my own lp build but I couldn't figure out how to do the tilt for the neck. |

Beautiful work! Absolutely gorgeous! Ken, I'm not David, but the way he wrapped the strings around the tailpiece is typically done to get a better break angle over the saddles, so that the tailpiece can be screwed down flush with the body and the strings will clear the back of the bridge without touching. It is kind of an old school way of doing it that you don't see a lot of, but is the way I string mine as well. Some people think that you get more sustain with the tailpiece flush to the body(I tend to agree). |

Stringing Lps that way also gives a slinkier feel as well, to my digits that is. David, Great job. I am jealous...in a good way. That finish looks like thick honey over wood colorant - beautiful. |

Fantastic. I love the way you created the neck angle! Heath Blaire is in Visalia, but other than that, I had no idea another builder was so close. I'm building a Les Paul with the Bartlett templates, too. |

Nice job! Like I'm surprised... I was wondering how it was coming along when I saw your post about the lattice bracing. How do you like it? |
