I have to get it from like home depot or somewhere. I don't have the time to wait for stew Mac to ship it. But I may order that for next time. What else would work in a pinch?

Mineral oil (very little) or lemon oil, which is mostly mineral with a nice lemony smell.

i used some black ebony stain from minwax about 7 dollars a bottle and it will stain many fingerboards :D

i have used watco teak oil on rosewood fingerboards and liked the outcome very much its geared more towards dense hardwoods, havent tried it on ebony, i dont use the stuff much, but i tend to think it would yield similar results.
