I want to sand the beck of the neck on my Stratocater to make it a bit smoother. At the moment the finish is a bit sticky.

What grits of sand paper should I use? Wet sand?

Thanks guys!

try 600 grit, wet, and see what happens.
if that does the job, go to automotive polishes,
if not, go to 400 grit and work back up to the 600 and then to the polishes.
don't wear thru da finish!
