i am working on my first les paul . now the guitar is almost finished and i have glued down the ebony bridge i was thinking of adding a tailpiece when i thought how about drilling 6 holes and sticking some acoustic guitar bridge pins in there. i haven't seen any around and don't think anyone has ever done them, also would i get loads of extra tone since the strings are passing through a solid body with bridge pins then the bridge... |

did I make. it? I wish!! Nah Gibson did a short run about 10 years or so ago. hollow (chambered?) with a piezo pup under the saddle. I DID make an acoustic les PaulISH guitar right at the start of my building career but I used a trapeeze tailpiece rather than pins. |
