i was thinking of doin that myself... i might pick-up a used lp semi-hollow tomorrow maybe i will cut a stop tail outta spare quilted-maple see how it turns out |

Rosewood could be okay... but it's going to wear out quickly.. a few weeks if you play a lot. Well, there are some rosewood that are harder than others... But you defenitly want something more dense.. like ebony, snakewood, ironwood.. Bloodwood cant be really hard too, coco also. Good luck Francis |

Teak is as dense as maple or some rosewood... I would go with ebony, and if you don't want something black, take Lignum vitea ( ironwood), snakewood or pernambucc. These are the densest woods. |
