Hello, this is my first electric building and I want to ask about pick up.. this guitar build for my son who want custom guitar, and he like jazz and blues music, so my question is:
1. whether I need one or two pick-ups ( neck and bridge pick up)
2. If I have just this choices (because this just in my own town) what is the right choice?

c. Seymour Duncan Code #7014 Available single conductor. Mini Humbucker Type SM-1N

d. EMG Pickup Code #7183 Made in USA Type EMG-89 Active Includes EMG's exclusive Quik-Connectâ„¢ cable

e. G&L Magnetic Field Design Code #7161 Genuine G&L S-500 Sets Neck,Midle,Bridge

f. Rec G&L Magnetic Field Design Code #7162 Genuine G&L ASSAT Special, High Output Set Neck & Bridge

Look also at Seymour Duncan P-rails.

This is a highly versatile setup and is very much suitable for a jazz/blues sound. You can go from a thin Strat sound to a nice full Les Paul lead tone with the right wiring/switch setup.

I think this wiring configuration represents the most versatility you can get out of these p/u's. I eliminated the tone knobs and just ran the grounds to the volume pots. Otherwise, this is way I wired this guitar and I'm very happy with it.
