OK, not QUITE complete. still haven't sorted out the piezo bridge volume ballance preamp, so it currently just running with the humbucker. Knowing me, it'll stay that way for the forseeable........

anyway, brought it home today and Josh, my 13 yearold has stolen it!

I plugged it in long enough to get it in tune and he landed into the study and "hovered" til I handed it over. as a cellist the fretless element is no hassle for him and hes playing chords and all sorts of crazy runs that he has no right to be able to play!!

so, beech body with a mango cap, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, HB from Bezdez and piezo bridge from Choppersmusic, both ebay.

the beech came from a dumpster and the mango used to be a coffee table.

because my back is shot I need to play sitting down, so the body is slightly thick to weight it more for better ballance playing seated.

body & neck finished in tru-oil, the fingerboard finished with CA.

yes, that's superglue.......

glitches (other than the piezo preamp)?

well the body is slightly over thick to make it ballance in a sittling position, so the neck screws are maybe a hair short..... Hopefully it'll be OK, but I might have to either get longer ones or recess them a little, no real hassle either way.

assuming I can get it back from Josh, I'm thinking this might be a keeper!

band practice Thursday night, church on Sunday morning, then a gig Sunday afternoon....
