I'm looking for a long version of the type of screws that are used for attaching electric guitar necks to bodies ala' Fender. The ones I have come across are usually 40-45mm long and I'm looking for the same type but around 60mm long. Any suggestions? http://www.nkforsterguitars.com/nkforst ... _book.html |

I had this same problem a few weeks ago. I went to my local ACE hardware store and found stainless steel screws that were the same diameter and thread size but a little longer. I dont remember the exact size, but I was able to find the correct size by holding the threads together. If you do this and the threads COMPLETELY interlock, then the threads are the same and you just need to make sure the diameter is the same. The screws weren't the nice chrome plates kind that you get on a strat, they were stainless steel which still looks pretty good. -Alex |

Are these things made specifically for the guitar market? Hard to imagine. So often things get used and repackaged as "guitar stuff" I thought there may be a source.... http://www.nkforsterguitars.com/the_book.html |
